Nano‐Kirigami Structures
In article number 2305171, Jiafang Li, Yang Wang, and co‐workers demonstrate a thermal emission manipulation method enabled by metal nano‐kirigami structures, which are consisted by rotated slit lines. The modulation is achieved by the dynamic plasmon resonance mode of the slit, whose shape and width changes as the nano‐kirigami structure deforms from planar to stereo.
The nano‐kirigami metasurfaces have controllable 3D geometric parameters and dynamic transformation functions and therefore provide a strong spectral regulation capability of thermal emission. Here, the authors propose and demonstrate a dynamic and multifunctional thermal emitter based on deformable nano‐kirigami structures, which can be actuated by electronic bias or mechanical compression. Selective...
Heterogenous catalysis is important for future clean and sustainable energy systems. However, an urgent need to promote the development of efficient and stable hydrogen evolution catalysts still exists. In this study, ruthenium nanoparticles (Ru NPs) are in situ grown on Fe5Ni4S8 support (Ru/FNS) by replacement growth strategy. An efficient Ru/FNS electrocatalyst with enhanced interfacial effect is...
SnTe, emerging as an environment‐friendly alternative to conventional PbTe thermoelectrics, has drawn significant attention for clean energy conversion. Here, a high peak figure of merit (ZT) of 1.45 at 873 K in Ge/Bi codoped SnTe–AgBiTe2 alloys is reported. It is demonstrated that the existence of Ge, Bi, and Ag facilitate band convergence in SnTe, resulting in remarkable enhancement of Seebeck coefficient...
Here, a new route is proposed for the minimization of lattice thermal conductivity in MnTe through considerable increasing phonon scattering by introducing dense lattice distortions. Dense lattice distortions can be induced by Cu and Ag dopants possessing large differences in atom radius with host elements, which causes strong phonon scattering and results in extremely low lattice thermal conductivity...
The integration of highly luminescent CsPbBr3 quantum dots on nanowire waveguides has enormous potential applications in nanophotonics, optical sensing, and quantum communications. On the other hand, CsPb2Br5 nanowires have also attracted a lot of attention due to their unique water stability and controversial luminescent property. Here, the growth of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals on CsPb2Br5 nanowires is...
Neurons can be modified to express light‐sensitive proteins for enabling stimulation with a high spatial and temporal resolution, but such techniques require gene transfection and systematical implantation. Here, a black phosphorus nanosheet‐based injectable strategy is described for wireless neural stimulation both in vitro and in vivo without cell modifications. These nanosheets, with minimal invasiveness,...
