This paper proposes a novel conformal tri-polarization antenna which has three independent ports and three orthogonal polarizations. To verify the design, a prototype antenna was manufactured and measured. The measured VSWR 3:1 bandwidth covers 150 MHz. The antenna consists of three stack layers. The total height of the antenna is 10 mm.
A hybrid slot and inverted L antenna is proposed to transfer a 'harmful' metal bezel to a useful antenna part. The antenna covers two bands, which are GPS (1.575 GHz) and WLAN (2.4-4.484 GHZ) frequency bands. To validate the concept, a prototype antenna was manufactured and measured on a FR4 board. The results agree well with simulations.
