After the fuzzy interpolative reasoning processes, if two unequal fuzzy interpolative reasoning results are derived (or one derived and another observed) for a consequence variable of a fuzzy rule, then it is called a contradiction in the fuzzy interpolative reasoning process. In recent years, some adaptive fuzzy interpolation methods for sparse fuzzy rule-based systems have been presented to solve...
This paperproposes a new adaptive fuzzy interpolation method based on ranking values of polygonal fuzzy sets and similarity measures between polygonal fuzzy sets. The experimental results show that the proposed adaptive fuzzy interpolation method out performs the existing methods for fuzzy interpolative reasoning in sparse fuzzy rule-based systems.
