We propose and experimentally demonstrate a cell grouping method to improve frequency-reused millimeter-wave coverage. The method provides a 3.5-dB improvement on signal quality and power budget in a field test on a three-transmitter radio-over-fiber system.
We propose a space-frequency block coding transmission method enabled by centralized radio-over-fiber systems to improve diversity gain in millimeter-wave coordinated multipoint transmission. A real-time end-to-end experiment reveals improved signal quality and stability.
In this paper, we propose the new incremental relaying scheme using network modulation (NeMo) concept in OFDM-based systems. We first introduce how to integrate NeMo to OFDM incremental relay and show how both cooperative diversity and frequency diversity can be achieved on incremental relaying schemes. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that NeMo enables OFDM incremental relay to enjoy...
In wireless video multicast, the main challenge is to meet the demands of heterogeneous receivers who face the same video source stream but show different channel characteristics. This paper proposes an improved compressed-sensing-base wireless video multicast (iCS-WVM) technique, where the measurements of each group of pictures (GOP) are packed and transmitted through an analog channel. Each receiver...
Large self-organizing networks of wireless devices have shown potential in many emerging applications. While knowing the physical location of devices in enhances and enables many such applications, the locations of some or most of the wireless devices may be unknown and the devices may be mobile. Several recent works have examined using distance or RSS measurements to estimate the position of such...
