A sparse and uniform multiple-input–multiple-output array is generally utilized in through-wall radar to implement real-time imaging of moving targets. However, the array sparsity with the interelement spacing much bigger than half a wavelength gives rise to grating lobe interference smearing the images. In order to enhance the signal-to-interference ratio, this letter introduces the sign coherence...
For synthetic aperture imaging of through-wall-radar, the multi-path propagation between target and walls introduces the ghosts into the formed image. This paper proposes a new algorithm for suppressing these multi-path ghosts. A multi-path model in an enclosed building is first developed. By analyzing the model, we obtain an important feature of the multi-path ghosts to be defined as aspect dependence...
Via the reiterative Maximum Signal Minus Interference Level (MSMIL) criterion and adaptive beamforming, a novel algorithm is proposed to suppress both the mutual interference and strong direct-path interference for shared-spectrum multistatic radar. Numerical results show advantages of the proposed method.
