This paper presents design of a new stable 14T full power efficient adder circuit. The proposed circuit is designed based on Pass Transistor Logic (PTL) network using NMOS transistor only. The proposed circuit is simulated at layout level using Microwind EDA tools for 45nm technology in terms of power and voltage level at the sum and carry nodes. The proposed circuit performance is compared with a...
With the rapid increase in data and its complexity of configuration and deployment bring a new challenge to the research community. In this scenario, automatic Hadoop cluster deployment and management tool provide a new horizon which plays a vital role in resource and packet management in distributed environment. This paper describes a low-cost Automatic Hadoop Cluster Deployment and Management tool...
Indian costal region has low ocean wave flux density but it has a vast seashore area due to which the overall potential of ocean wave energy is extremely high. In addition, harnessing of ocean wave energy has minimum environmental impact. Till date only one project based on oscillating water column has been established in India. The project covers huge constructional area with high complexity. Therefore...
This paper proposes an accurate and generalizable deep learning framework for iris recognition. The proposed framework is based on a fully convolutional network (FCN), which generates spatially corresponding iris feature descriptors. A specially designed Extended Triplet Loss (ETL) function is introduced to incorporate the bit-shifting and non-iris masking, which are found necessary for learning discriminative...
Performing remote manipulation tasks by tele-operation with limited bandwidth, communication delays and environmental differences is a challenging problem. In this paper, we learn a task-parameterized generative model from the teleoperator demonstrations using a hidden semi-Markov model that provides assistance in performing remote manipulation tasks. We present a probabilistic formulation to capture...
We developed lead-free perovskite solar cells, because lead is harmful to the human body. In this study, the lead-free perovskite layers were fabricated using antimony, bismuth and silver. Normal (n-i-p) and inverse (p-i-n) structures were tried for the solar cells. By using a lead-free perovskite with silver and bismuth for the normal structure, conversion efficiency of 0.892% was achieved.
In this paper, twin gate rectangular recessed channel (TG-RRC) MOSFET with independent gate control is used to realize its application in digital electronics by using it as two input logic. The input logic is controlled by the independent gates which have different work functions (Φ1 for gate 1 and Φ2 gate 2) which are separated by oxide layer of 2 nm, thus controlling various electrical parameters...
This work discusses the effectiveness of high-k dielectric as gate stack in transparent gate recessed channel (TGRC) MOSFET having 20nm gate length. The main aim of this study is to analyse the reliability issues of TGRC MOSFET in terms of analog parameters. Results indicate that with the incorporation of HfO2 as gate stack on SiO2, on-current enhances significantly whereas leakage current (off-current)...
This paper examines the reliability issues of In2O5Sn (ITO) gate electrode (Transparent Gate) Recessed Channel (TGRC) MOSFET by considering the influence of interface trap charges polarity and density present at the Si/SiO2 interface. The reliability of TGRC MOSFET is observed in terms of Linearity and distortion FOMs such as gm, gm3, VIP3. IIP3, HD3. IMD3. Results so obtained revealed that the existence...
This article proposes a novel data gathering scheme for wireless sensor networks to reduce energy consumption for a prolonged network lifetime. Data gathering is modeled as random node sampling method, where fusion center collects data from arbitrarily deployed randomly selected nodes and takes the global decision. We evaluate performance of our method with metrics: energy consumption and error performance...
Each Android app must have an Android manifest file. It is one of the most important configuration files manually written by developers. In addition to various configuration parameters required to run an app, it also contains configuration parameters which are used to implement security, compatibility, and accessibility of an app. Any mistakes in writing the manifest file can cause serious implications...
In this paper, a re-confîgurable 12/13/14-bit SAR ADC based on a 12-bit ADC core is presented. A novel residue-boosting algorithm is developed to increase the bit resolution of a SAR ADC up to 2 bits without significant additional area and power. In the 12-bit mode, the 65nm prototype shows both DNL and INL of about +/−0.5 LSB at 4MSPS, and in 14-bit mode, DNL and INL are about +/− 1 LSB and +/− 2...
Two new voltage mode and current mode first order multifunction filters based on a new analog building block; current controlled differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (CCDDCCTA) is presented. The presented filters are two input single output configurations. It uses single CCDDCCTA and single capacitor only. It provides voltage mode and current mode high pass (HP), low...
A novel approach is anticipated in this paper for optimal feeder reconfiguration and placement of DG units in distribution system with an objective of reduction of real power losses while satisfying operating constraints. Selective Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (SPSO), modified version of Binary Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, is used to obtain reconfigured distribution network. A novel...
The paper describes in detail the thermal model of a 2U class nano-satellite, which takes into account the design parameters including major thermal loads, heat sinks and the thermal properties of the various materials used in the satellite. Thermal model is subjected to various test scenarios varying with respect to orbit parameters which changes heat flux on panels. The current paper aims to demonstrate...
The conventional Bayesian framework of filtering is based on the assumption that the measurements are available at each time-step without any delay. But in real-life problems, measurements may be randomly delayed in time. In this paper, we modified the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) for arbitrary time delayed measurements. With the help of simulation results, it has been shown that the proposed filter...
Inverter circuits based on neat TIPS-pentacene and TIPS-pentacene: polystyrene blend organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) with external resistive load has been studied. Resistive loads of 28 ΜΩ, 40 ΜΩ, 68 ΜΩ and 108 ΜΩ were used to study the inverter transfer characteristics. Transfer characteristics of both types of inverters are improved with increasing load resistance. Inverter with a representative...
This paper proposes a novel approach for image watermarking using combined dynamic stochastic resonance (DSR) and support vector machine (SVM). The algorithm incorporates lifting wavelet transform (LWT) to decompose the host image into three level frequency sub-bands, and a low-pass frequency sub-band is opted for watermark embedding. Watermark bits are embedded into small blocks of low-pass frequency...
The significance of optimal distributed generations (DG) placement is to offer the appropriate locations and sizes of DG units. A novel technique is proposed in this paper for optimal placement of DG units in radial distribution system to reduce real power losses while satisfying operating constraints. The proposed method for optimal placement of DG units is developed based on a new mathematical formulation...
Improving accuracy of matching fingerprint images acquired from two different fingerprint sensors is an important research problem with several promising studies in the literature. Most of these studies focus on sensor interoperability using fingerprints acquired from different kinds of contact-based sensors. However emerging contactless fingerprint technologies have shown its benefits. This paper...
