Although maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) channel estimator has an optimal performance for MIMO-OFDM systems, its high complexity could be in the order of O(K3), where K is the number of subcarriers. So, in this paper, we introduce an H-infinity estimator which has good performance, but with much less complexity. Next, lots of matrices inversions and multiplications are reduced by the iterative...
The conventional constrained least squares constant modulus algorithm (LSCMA) can suffer significant performance degradation in the presence of the slight mismatches between the actual and assumed signal steering vectors. In this paper, to combat the mismatches, a novel robust constrained LSCMA is proposed for implementing double constraints with Taylor-series expansion and Lagrange multipliers method,...
A new target tracking method is presented to improve target location accuracy in the case of prolonging the network lifetime. The presented method utilizes sensor scheduling to extend the network lifetime and support vector machine for target tracking. Analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm has a high target localization accuracy by comparing with the least-square location method.
In practical problems, the constrained least square constant modulus algorithm (LSCMA) can suffer significant performance degradation in the presence of the slight mismatches between the actual and presumed array responses to the desired signal. In this paper, a novel robust constrained LSCMA is proposed based on explicit modeling of uncertainties in the desired signal array response. The proposed...
We present a new receiver structure able to deliver high data rates in a multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) frequency selective wireless environment. The parallel interference cancellation MIMO decision feedback equalization based on recursive least square algorithm (RLS-PIC-DFE) is obtained by canceling decided symbols from the received symbols parallel with the decision feed-forward equalizer (DFE)...
In this paper, we propose a least squares (LS) channel estimation scheme in time domain for MIMO-OFDM systems based on pilot tones. The basic idea is that time-domain signals generated by pilots of transmitter and receiver are used to estimate the time-domain channel responses. Optimal pilot sequences (OPS) with regard to (w.r.t) the mean square error (MSE) of LS channel estimation are also presented;...
