A novel slot antenna with a thin metasurface (MS) ground is proposed. The MS provides reflection energy cancellation and enlarge radiating aperture simultaneously. Measured results indicate that a 6 dB RCS reduction is realized within the antenna operating band, and the gain increases compared to the reference antenna with metallic ground.
