The lithium–sulfur (Li–S) battery is one of the most promising next generation energy storage systems due to its high theoretical specific energy. However, the shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides formed during cell operation is a crucial reason for the low cyclability suffered by current Li–S batteries. As a result, an in‐depth mechanistic understanding of the sulfur cathode redox reactions...
Copolymer hybrid films consisting of polypyrrole/MoSx (x ≈ 5) with significantly enhanced electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) are fabricated by a one‐step electrochemical copolymerization of pyrrole and (NH4)2MoS4. The films show a Tafel slope of 29 mV dec−1 and an onset potential of 0 V vs. RHE, which is comparable to those of commercial Pt/C catalysts.
