We report large, non-saturating magnetoresistance (MR) of ∼140% in single layer chemical vapor deposition (CVD) graphene with an h-BN capping layer at room temperature at B = 9 T. Based on the classical model developed by Parish and Littlewood, our results show that the MR is proportional to the average mobility < μ > and decreases with increasing temperature. In contrast, in a large-area, extremely...
Adsorption properties of graphite oxides hydrophobized by n-hexadecylamine, (C16) x GO, were investigated using pyrene molecules as a model of nonionic organic contaminants. A large quantity of pyrene (28.5 mg/g) was adsorbed from a water-ethanol mixture (1:2) containing 2 mM of pyrene when (C16) 0.6 GO was used. The isotherm of pyrene adsorption was better described by Freundlich...
A new method is presented for controlling the micropore structure of porous carbon by use of pillar effect of metal and/or sulfur compounds. An ion exchange resin having sulfonic acid groups as ion exchangeable functional groups was used as a raw material. Resins having various cations of H + , K + , Na + , Ca 2+ , Zn 2+ , Cu 2+ , Fe ...
