In this paper, we demonstrate a dual-wavelength mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser. The single-wall carbon nanotube is used as the mode-locker due to its large and ultrafast nonlinear optical responses. By tuning the pump power and adjusting the PC properly, stable dual-wavelength output can be achieved. The center wavelength of the dual-wavelength pulses are 1894 nm and 1907 nm, respectively....
We performed an experiment demonstration for verifying the measurement method based on Rayleigh scattering to test the residual gas in a storing vacuum electronic devices (VED), using high pulse power ultraviolet laser and CCD detector. The normalized intensities of scattered light are obtained before and after degassing the test tube. The experimental results validate the measurement method we proposed...
An all-fiber passively Q-switched Yb-doped fiber laser with fiber saturable absorber (SA) based on a piece of Sm-doped fiber is presented. For the first time, we observe the fast stimulated Brillouin scattering Q-switched process in an Yb/Sm all-fiber laser and obtain 41 ns pulses and 1.7 kW maximum peak power. Compared with the reported traditional SA Q-switched process, the pulse energy and peak...
We report on a 200W, 2mJ, 25ns MOPA fiber laser, the last stage of which has a hybrid gain fiber composed of large-core-diameter and small-core diameter Yb doped fibers.
A linearly polarized Q-switching large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber laser at 978 nm is demonstrated. Short pulse of 14 ns duration is achieved with 36 dB polarization extinction ratio at 10 kHz repetition rate and 2 W output power.
An all-fiber pulsed laser based on master-oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) architecture is demonstrated. At pulse repetition rate of 100 kHz, amplified laser with output power of 2.3 W, pulse width of 10 ns is generated.
An injection-seeded Nd:YAG laser with long pulse duration was designed and built. Single-frequency was achieved through ramp-fire technique. Long folded cavity and large pump spot was adopted to achieve long pulse duration and high energy. The laser operated at 200 Hz. The pulse duration of about 80 ns and pulse energy of 1 mJ was achieved. The laser will be applied in a coherent Doppler wind lidar.
The change of pulse shape in a MOFPA system was experimentally demonstrated. Through optimized the pulse shape, the amplifier can provide 59-W 1064 nm laser with pulse duration of 22.7 ns at 50 kHz repetition rate.
KW level CW high power output and 20 W high repetition rate pulsed output are obtained with China made multimode core fibers. The laser structure and pulse amplifier technology are given in detail.
