We demonstrate the quantum noise limited perfor-mance of an optical version balanced detector along with a phase modulation. The ultra-small phase resolution is realized by this interferometric configuration due to double sideband suppressed carrier (DSB-SC) and dark fringe operation.
An interface between Android cell phone and external world by taking the advantages of Android IOIO is demonstrated experimentally. The hardware and software is described in this report while the capability of human-machine interface is also presented.
We demonstrate an optical technique to achieve balanced detection where single photoreceiver is allowed instead of two. By allocating more optical power to the probe beam, the DC background and the signal amplitude of the photocurrent became very small simultaneously under ultra-small differential phase condition so that the dark fringe operation was also achieved.
