The internal friction and elastic modulus, together with the electrical and magnetic properties, are measured for the La 0.82 Sr 0.12 MnO 3 colossal magnetoresistance bulk materials. Two internal friction peaks and the corresponding softening of elastic modulus and two resistance peaks are observed around 276 and 154 K respectively.
