In BCI research community, EEG based self-paced brain-computer interfaces (SBCI) have been widely researched in the past several years. SBCI systems allow individuals to control outside device using EEG signals at their own pace. But the performance of current SBCI technology is not suitable for most applications due to the difficult in detection of the non-periodic intentionally brain state changing...
Rapid and accurate abnormity detection of log curves is critical in the quality control for logging industry. Traditional methods based on manual detection have been proven to be ineffective and unreliable. A machine learning method based on Support Vector Machine (SVM) is proposed in this paper to address this problem. The SVM classifiers are established according to the suspicious sections selected...
Based on Chaotic Genetic Algorithm idea, this paper presents a new solution for the classic Knapsack Problem(KP). We introduce Chaos idea into Genetic Algorithm, adding the disturbance to help finding better solutions in the traditional Genetic Algorithm. Results of numerical tests show that it has high efficiency and the good ability of global optimization.
