In this paper, the problem of actuators faults detection and estimation for linear parameters varying systems described by the polytopic representation is considered by the design of a Polytopic Proportional Integral Observer (PPIO). The PPIO gains are obtained by solving a set of linear matrices inequalities. The proposed approach is applied, with success, to a Van de Vusse reactor.
The main goal of this paper consists in the development of a new actuator fault-tolerant control dedicated to nonlinear systems. Based on the assumption that the nonlinear system is described by a finite number of interpolated linear time invariant models, the proposed method makes possible the faults compensation for the whole operating range through an extended interacting multiple model. Its principle...
In this paper, a new active fault tolerant control (FTC) strategy is developed to nonlinear systems described by multiple linear models to prevent the system deterioration by the synthesis of adapted controllers. When a fault is detected by the fault detection and diagnosis scheme, the reconfigurable controller is designed automatically using a robust gain scheduling strategy. The main contribution...
