In this study, for medical diagnostics, the polymer-based two-dimensional photonic crystal (2D-PhC) was fabricated using nanoimprint lithography (NIL)-based nanooptical device fabrication technology that called as "printable photonics". In addition, polymer-based 2D-PhC was applied for detection of fibrinogen which is a biomarker to diagnose the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)...
We developed TiO2-based photonic crystal (PhC) for highly-sensitive optical biosensing application. The optical characteristics of PhC depend on refractive index of base material and surroundings. Hence, highly-sensitive optical biosensing application is expected by using high refractive index base material. By using TiO2-based PhC biosensor, detection of antigen-antibody reaction was successfully...
In this study, a highly sensitive label-free plasmonic crystal (PC) biosensor is fabricated. The PC has large area periodic nanodisk structure fabricated using polymer mold. The device could detect the protein immobilization sensitively as surrounding refractive index change. Present PC device is expected to apply for highly sensitive label-free biosensor.
