A detailed fiber design was presented for the first time for three-stage non-integer order soliton compression at the wavelength of 1060 nm. A compression factor of 173.52 was realized, and the remained pedestal is only 32.21%.
Detailed fiber design of single mode fibers for two-stage higher-order soliton compression at 1550 nm is presented for the first time. A compression factor of 87.8 has been achieved.
We numerically study the characteristics of optical rogue waves in the femtosecond supercontinuum generation. The continuous wave trigger is proved to be an effective way to control optical rogue waves in the femtosecond supercontinuum generation.
Metal-insulator-metal (MIM) circular grating structure has been introduced to couple with superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD) to enhance its response. According to our numerical simulation results, the coupling efficiency at 1.55μm can be enhanced by MIM circular grating and improving the response of SNSPD obviously. About 19.5 times of enhancement in response can be obtained with...
Brllouin optical time domain reflectometry is one of the popular methods of Brillouin distributed fiber sensing measurement. The spatial resolution of BOTDR system could reach meter order. For many applications, the temperature distribution of object is not a constant in the spatial resolution, and temperature gradient exists inside the scope. The relationship between Brillouin backscattering spectrum...
We have developed a hybrid optical tomography system combing optical coherence tomography (OCT) and line-scanning fluorescence laminar optical tomography (FLOT). This system could be used for concurrent depth-resolved tissue-structural and molecular imaging.
Microwave heterodyne detection can be used to measure the temperature and strain distribution along a fiber with high accuracy in a Brillouin optical time domain reflectometry (BOTDR) system. This method involves simultaneous measurement of Brillouin scattering and Rayleigh scattering in fiber, and scanning of Brillouin spectrum to obtain the desired information. This paper has presented a simultaneous...
