We consider enumeration and construction of points on diagonal and Hermitian surfaces. We give a recursive construction technique for the set of rational points of Hermitian surfaces. Then we apply this recursive enumeration of rational points to construct codes on Hermitian surfaces.
The monitoring of landscape changes can lead to the identification of environmental hot spots, improve process understanding, and provide means for law enforcement. Digital elevation models (DEMs) derived from stereoscopic satellite data provide a systematic synoptic framework that is potentially useful to support these issues. Along-track high-resolution stereoscopic data, provided with rational...
In this paper we discuss the method of designing a Chebyshev non recursive filter with linear phase for processing Images. Through this approach we design filters for the applications where stop band to pass band ration is important.
A new very simple design approach to Linear Phase Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters is discussed with the help of Legendre Polynomials with a special transform. This approach can be used to design a FIR filter with arbitrary characteristics and exact linear phase. Some design examples are discussed to illustrate the performance of the proposed method.
This paper presents a SVM based computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system for the characterization of clustered microcalcifications in digitized mammograms. First, the region of interest (ROI) in mammogram is enhanced using morphological enhancement (MORPHEN) method. Second, pixels in potential microcalcification regions are segmented out by using edge detection and morphological operations. Third, features...
