We experimentally demonstrate a 640Gbit/s dual-polarization DQPSK OTDM system using EAM-based pulse source and clock recovery. Error free transmission over 410km fiber link is realized with power penalty of 4.46dB.
We demonstrate for the first time 160Gbaud to 40Gbaud phase-preserving demultiplex of OTDM-DQPSK signals using a dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator(DPMZM) driven by only one electrical clock. Error-free operation is achieved with ∼0.6 dB power penalty.
We demonstrate a method to realize arbitrary repetition-rate multiplication of 40 GHz optical pulses based on optical spectrum manipulation. The generated 80–320 GHz pulses can well maintain the original pulse shape with uniform amplitude and improved SNR.
