Magnesium‐based hydrogen storage alloys have been also considered to be possible candidates for electrodes in Ni‐MH batteries. In this work, we have studied experimentally the structure and properties of Mg2Ni(Cu)/M‐type hydrogen storage nanocomposite materials (M = C, Ni, Pd). These materials were prepared by mechanical alloying (MA) followed by annealing and by ball milling, respectively. In nanocrystalline...
Nanostructured composite Mg2Ni/LaNi5 materials have been synthesised using the mechanical alloying process. Hydrogen storage capacities and discharge capacities of the produced materials have been measured. The results show that nanostructured 50% Mg1.5Mn0.5Ni/50% LaNi3.75Mn0.75Al0.25Co0.25 composite material releases 1.6 wt.% hydrogen at room temperature. The nanocrystalline metal hydrides offer...
