Ischemic Brain Stroke is considered to be one of the most significant reason causing mortality of patients. During first 60 days after brain stroke some critical symptoms are localized. Eventual registration of physiological parameters or biomedical signals e.g. heart rate variability within that time results in extremely difficult interpretation, most likely at the certain border of commonly understand...
Both correct and harmonic expression of genes became an important factor of health care development. Genes expression changes are consider to be a reason of many diseases. Early detection of mentioned above changes allow for application of common treatment procedures before the first symptom are observed. Statistical methods applied for those purposes allow relatively simple selection of patients...
Wavelet-neural systems (WNS) presented in this work, inheriting the properties of neural networks, belong to the class of universal approximators of unknown functions, F, describing the relationship between input X ? RN and output Y ? RM of a process or object. Classifier structures described in this work fulfil the role of approximators of functions, which are able to assign the input signal to a...
The author presents an approximation of an ECG (electrocardiogram) signal with nonuniformly distributed knots for the case where the signal contains added noise. He finds that it is possible to use spline functions for analysis of a noisy ECG signal if the signal/noise ratio equals at least 10 without accumulation or equals 30 after accumulation of 10 repetitions.<<ETX>>
