Cr4+:YAG double-clad crystal fiber can generate CW and near-Gaussian-shape 265-nm emission at milliwatt level. This work describes a cellular resolution optical coherence tomography, which has a 3.6-mum axial resolution at NIR wavelength in air.
Dual-pump scheme and a high-reflection coating deposited on one crystal fiber endface were used to increase the ASE of the Cr4+:YAG double-clad crystal fiber. As much as 1.72 mW of collimated ASE power was obtained.
