We propose a quasi-passive reconfigurable power/wavelength distribution device for optical access network. It can adapt to deployment condition and optimize the energy consumption. Novel tri-state non-volatile optical switches are designed in this device to preserve the semi-passive operation.
OpenFlow is presented as a unified control plane and architecture for packet and circuit switched networks. We demonstrate a simple proof-of-concept testbed, where a bidirectional wavelength circuit is dynamically created to transport a TCP flow.
