In this paper, a horn antenna and FSS unit are designed separately. A planar radome composed by this FSS unit is placed in the near-field region of the horn, forming an antenna/radome system, to reduce the RCS of the horn. The radiation and scattering properties are calculated to study the effect of a finite FSS radome on the horn antenna.
The parametric analysis of H-shaped patch antenna is proposed. Double L-probe feed structure, introducing capacitive effect on the horizontal monopole, allows for compensation to the feed inductance due to long-probe. Using double feed technology achieves the symmetry of the radiation pattern. In this paper, the antenna performances with different parameters have been proposed. Compared to a conventional...
The exact model of an antenna array with a dielectric radome is established by using the surface integral equations and method of moments (SIE-MoM). The proper preconditioning techniques (PT) and the fast multipole method are employed, which obviously improves the property of the MoM matrix equation, reduces the memory occupation and accelerate the iteration convergence of the conjugate gradient (CG)...
The effects of the electrically large rotation ellipsoid radome on the radiation characteristics of two kinds of wire antennas are analyzed by an improved hybrid method, which combines the method of moments (MOM) and physical optics (PO). Based on a group of associated integral equations, the mutual interactions among the antenna, the inner and outer surfaces of the radome are all considered. In the...
In this paper, a new method of MUSIC algorithm is presented which can be applied in the antenna far-field measurement. This method can weaken the effect of multiple- path to the final result of actual experience of the antenna far- field measurement by which two purposes of improving the environment of the antenna far-field measurement and having a DOA estimation can be achieved.
In the practice of antenna time domain planar near field measurement, the probe moving step by step in each sample point is not acceptable for the huge time spending. The effect of measuring results in case of probe continuously moving in one dimension has been analyses in this paper. From simulation, it can be find that sample in the condition of probe moving continuously has almost the same measuring...
The radiation characteristics are presented for a three-element Yagi-Uda antenna enclosed in an electrically large Kaman radome. The discussion focuses on the influences of various structural parameters, such as the radome thickness, permittivity, size and the antenna position. The method of moments (MOM) is applied to the Yagi-Uda antenna, and the equivalent physical optics (PO) currents produced...
