We developed a compact, narrow-linewidth diode-pumped Yb:YAG laser with volume Bragg grating delivering stable TEM00-mode Q-switched pulses at 1030 nm with average output of 1 W at 10 kHz and linewidth of < 0.08 nm.
A Ti:sapphire oscillator tunable over 138 nm and maintaining a spectral linewidth less than 15 pm with no spectral jitter is presented. Outputs in the 200 mW regime with an excellent beam quality were achieved.
Spectral narrowing of Ti:sapphire down to two longitudinal modes has been achieved in the 3 W pump power range and 200 mW output using a compact design. Further improvements leading to single mode operation are discussed.
A pair of nearly identical volumetric Bragg gratings held at different temperatures serving as the end mirrors of a Ti:sapphire laser made possible very narrow output linewidth and enabled easy optimization of the laser output.
We report a diode-pumped, CW Tm:YLF laser, with a volume holographic grating in photo-thermo-refractive glass as an output coupler. The Tm-laser operated at 1940 nm with output power exceeding 30 W.
