We report a case of severe AVP three weeks following the administration of infliximab for the treatment of Crohn's disease (CD). Since the introduction of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) antagonists, various microbiologic agents have been reported to cause pneumonia following their administration. To our knowledge, AVP following therapy with TNF-α antagonists has not been reported in English literature...
We report a case of Corynebacterium minutissimum pyelonephritis with associated bacteraemia in an immunocompetent adult. The patient was successfully treated with a 14-day course of intravenous vancomycin. We review the clinical features of all the reported cases of invasive C. minutissimum infections with bacteraemia.
