We report the uniaxial compression effect of the electrical resistivity on the quasi-one-dimensional halogen-bridged binuclear metal complex (MMX-chain) Pt 2 (n-pentylCS 2 ) 4 I which exhibits successive electronic transitions. At ambient pressure, this complex exhibits first-order phase transition around 210K between the low-temperature insulating alternate-charge-polarization...
The resistance of the κ-(BEDT-TTF) 2 Cu(NCS) 2 is measured under uniaxial compression along c- and a * -axes. We observe increases and subsequent decreases of the superconducting transition temperature T c and the ratio of the resistance maximum at 90K to the resistance at room temperature under strain caused by the uniaxial compression.
