A 60GHz planar reflector with endfire radiation is studied as a possible solution for passive repeaters in T-shaped corridor configurations. It uses grooves with appropriate depths in a ground plane and enjoys low cost and great convenience in fabrication. The design of the unit-cell and array for endfire radiation is discussed. A preliminary prototype is optimized.
This paper presents the design of a 60GHz passive repeater endfire array using dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) elements. The proposed DRA antenna element is loaded with an open-ended microstrip line coupled through a slot, and the reflection phase is controlled by varying the length of this phase-delay line. Based on the working principle of reflectarray, two DRA elements with 180° phase difference...
This paper presents a broadband VHF/UHF double-whip antenna with one lossless matching scheme combining two methods, embedded transmission line matching method and lumped-distributed hybrid matching method. By adjusting the length of the embedded transmission line, the combination of double-whip antenna and the transmission line can achieve resonance, thus realize a coarse matching. By adding a lumped-distributed...
