Real-time deferrable server (RTDS) scheduler is presented since Xen 4.5. Under RTDS, a guaranteed physical CPU capacity is provided to every virtual CPU so that the performance can be better predicted. However, the guaranteed capacity is defined off-line, it might not fit the requirement of a virtual CPU at the run-time. In this paper, an RTDS-based CPU scheduler is proposed, called enhanced real-time...
We demonstrate a one-dimensional photonic crystal nano beam. The structure is formed by silicon waveguide. A SÌ3N4 layer is deposited above the waveguide. The thermal stress between Si/ Si3N4 induces the deformation of beam and affects the transmission peak of slow light mode. The thermal stress can be detected by measuring the shift of peaks in transmission spectrum.
A new linear least squares based consecutive line segments detection approach is proposed. Sub line segments are detected by traditional approach, and 3 aspects of traditional idea are improved. First, a new mergence rule based on linear least squares is proposed to improve traditional approach for some of the cases to be detected. Second, mergence confidence degree is defined to tell sub line segment...
The segmentation of touching symbols is one of the key factors which affect the performance of printed mathematical expression recognition system. An Improved method for segmentation of touching symbols in printed mathematical expressions is presented. This method is suitable for different types of touching symbols. Firstly, the outer contour of the symbol image is extracted based on contour tracing...
