We experimentally demonstrate adaptive frequency-domain equalization with low algorithmic complexity for a 6×6 coherent MIMO transmission system in a few-mode fiber. Master-slave carrier recovery is also proposed and demonstrated for further reduction of algorithmic complexity.
We report graded index few mode fiber designs for mode-division multiplexing and demonstrate a 100-km few-mode fiber span with effective areas larger than 160 μm2 and differential mode group delay of less than 6 ps/km.
We demonstrate mode-division multiplexed transmission using the LP01 and LP11 modes over three heterogeneous spans of few-mode fiber and investigate the impact of fusion splicing and free-space coupling on mode mixing.
In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate the first single-?? 40 Gb/s and 108 Gb/s multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) passive optical networks (PON) architecture for next-generation PON systems based on OFDM, polarization multiplexing (POLMUX), and direct detection. Superior performance was exhibited after 20 km SSMF transmission and...
