In this paper, the problem of exploiting potential benefit from centralized processing nature of cloud base-station is addressed. We propose to exploit one kind of benefit available in cloud base-station, called scale effects, for MIMO detection by employing the scale effects oriented MIMO detector (SEOD). From this study, it can be found that SEOD is a feasible scheme being able to exploit two types...
In this paper, the early-termination fixed-complexity sphere detector (ET-FSD) that is a channel-adaptive version of FSD, is developed to exploit scale effects for the multiple-antenna system which has to detect signals of multiple users under the constraint of sum complexity (e.g., the base-station systems always encounter the run-time limit of signal detection of all the users). In order to apply...
Geometry-based optimal power control was proposed in [14] to transform the power-control problem to a new geometrical problem on the position relationship between a line and some points. This scheme provides a novel visual perspective and lowers the complexity of optimization. We generalize this scheme to a larger class of power-control optimization problems so as to maximize the network utility with...
Cognitive radio and OFDMA attracts a lot of attentions in academic and industry fields. In this paper, the asymptotic performance of an uplink radio resource allocation scheme is investigated for OFDMA-based cognitive radio networks. Considering the characteristics of cognitive radio and OFDMA, in the uplink subcarrier allocation algorithm, the subcarriers are allocated to the users with the best...
Malicious users can launch denial-of-service attacks to any hash-based application by enforcing continuous hash collisions. In this paper, we propose a generalized attack-resistant hashing algorithm that is immune to these attacks. Experimental results show that our secure hashing algorithms are efficient and robust against hash collision attacks.
