We experimentally demonstrate and evaluate the performance of analog signal transmission system with photonic integrated optical vortex emitter and 3.6 km few-mode fiber (FMF) link using OAM2 and OAM-2 modes and measured the spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) of the second-order harmonic distortion (SHD).
We present N-dimensional multicasting by exploiting wavelength/frequency, orbital angular momentum (OAM) and polarization dimensions. 1-to-1100 multicasting (25 wavelengths × 22 OAM modes × 2 polarizations) of OFDM-16/32QAM signal is demonstrated in the experiment. All 1100-fold multicasted channels achieve BER <2e-3.
By exploiting N-dimensional multiplexing, i.e. 54.139-Gbit/s OFDM-8QAM signals over 368 WDM pol-muxed 26 orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes, we experimentally demonstrate a free-space data link with an aggregate transmission capacity of 1.036 Pbit/s and a high spectral efficiency of 112.6 bit/s/Hz.
