A low phase noise LC-VCO in 0.18/μm CMOS 1P5M technology is presented. The VCO achieves a 12.5% frequency tuning range (from 1.12 to 1.26GHz) through the 6-bit binary switched-capacitor array. Simulated results show the phase noise is -113.6dBc/Hz@10kHz offset, the power consumption of the designed VCO is 27mW with 3.3V supply voltage.
