Development of a unique computerized technique based on our program written by LabVIEW 2013 permitted us to register fluctuations of microscopic emission parameters of flat multiple-point cathodes and associate them with a statistical distribution of nanotube effective heights. Numerical estimates by Pearson show that this statistic is subject to lognormal distribution. In present work the influence...
Structure stability of a multiwall carbon nanotube - polystyrene nanocomposite was investigated in two operational modes. Statistical analysis of the emission parameters of the whiskers formed on the anode surface during field emission was carried out. The histograms of the statistical distribution of effective heights at different current levels were plotted. Mass-spectrometry data in alternating...
We created a unique instrument for research of multi-tip field emitters. It allows to record the current-voltage characteristics of the emitter, to derive the various microscopic emission parameters from IVC in online regime and to register volatile products evolved from the emitter surface.
The low electron affinity and excellent transport properties of some conducting organic polymers suggest that they might also provide good unheated cathode materials. It is demonstrated here that this is true also for some non-conjugated, undoped polymers deposited on flat metallic electrodes. The idea to use non-conjugated polymers as field-emission materials came from experimental results where...
X-ray spectra of Ar gas-puff z-pinch plasma has been measured with a focusing spectrograph with Johansson type quartz crystal. The obtained spectra showed the presence of K-alpha lines of low ionized ions of Fe and Ar. Intensive electron beam with energy not less than 7 keV was detected by x-ray line measurements.
