For decreasing the high computational complexity of Turbo product code in PCM/FM telemetry system, a joint decoding algorithm based on syndrome-based decoding and a correlation operation to substitute for searching the competing codeword was proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the decoding complexity with less coding gain degradation.
Computing the encoding delay and bandwidth on the nodes is important for the deployment and implementation of network coding. However, the existing researches merely use the methods of experimental measurement or rough estimation to investigate it. In order to accurately compute the delay and bandwidth on the nodes with network coding implemented, this paper proposes a novel method to quantify encoding...
Abstract- The conventional single-relay aided two-phase cooperative network employing a so-called soft-input soft-output multiple-symbol differential sphere detection (SISO-MSDSD) and operating in a distributed turbo decoding mode incurs a high complexity and imposes a 50$\%$ half-duplex relaying induced throughput loss. In this paper, we combat both of these critical problems. We commence by evaluating...
This paper presents a multiple-symbol differential spatial division multiple access (MS-DSDMA) system conceived for low-complexity and high-bandwidth-efficiency applications operating in time-varying fading channels, where no channel estimation is required. A low-complexity adaptive multiple-symbol differential interference suppression (MS-DIS) scheme is proposed, which is based on the maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise...
This paper presents a class of high-rate codes called low-density parity-check accumulate (LDPCA) codes. The code design is the serial concatenation of an LDPC outer code and an accumulator with an interleaver. The iterative decoding for the LDPCA code design has complexity linear to the code length. When using regular LDPC codes with column weight 2, the proposed codes have low encoding complexity...
This paper presents an Irregular Distributed Hybrid Concatenated Differential (Ir-DHCD) coding scheme contrived for the relay-aided differential decode-and-forward (DDF) cooperative system using multiple-symbol differential sphere detection (MSDSD), where no channel estimation is required. We proposed a practical design framework for a cooperative system, which is capable of performing close to the...
It is widely recognized that the differential amplify-and-forward (DAF) transmission scheme is capable of providing a superior performance compared to classic direct transmissions employing differential detection in slow-fading channels and in fact it may even outperform coherent detection aided systems relying on realistic imperfect channel estimates. However, in reality the channels connecting the...
A highly integrated system-on-chip (SOC) can be a viable replacement for a design based on legacy X86 series based design. Embedded processors for aviation field and industrial controls are the examples for aforesaid proposal. To reduce the high volume of old system, we design and implement a SOC embodying a low power X86 instruction compatible 32-bit CISC microprocessor. Outside the processor core,...
Recently, the turbo-detected sphere packing (SP) aided space-time block-coding (STBC) STBC-SP scheme was demonstrated to provide useful performance improvements over conventionally-modulated orthogonal design based STBC schemes in the context of single-user multiple-input multiple-output (SU-MIMO) systems. Hence, in this treatise we extend its employment to the multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) scenario....
Based on an extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart assisted receiver design, a low-complexity near-maximum a posteriori (MAP) detector is constructed for high-throughput MIMO systems. A high throughput is achieved by invoking high-order modulation schemes and/or multiple transmit antennas, while employing a novel sphere detector (SD) termed as a center-shifting SD scheme, which updates the SD's...
The paper gives a novel fuze laser set design scheme. The system is composed of two parts which are setter and fuze set circuit. The setter adopts a semi-conductor laser as optical source and MCU as a core control with CPLD. Then, it transmits information in atmosphere via RS encoding, PPM modulation and laser driving circuit control; the fuze set circuit adopts PIN photodiode as optical receiver...
A construction of authentication codes with arbitration from subspaces of singular pseudo-symplectic geometry over finite field of characteristic 2 is given, the parameters of the code are computed. Assuming that the encoding rules of the transmitter and the receiver are chosen according to a uniform probability distribution, the probabilities of success for different type of deceptions are also computed.
Universal estimation strategies with the recently developed non-systematic split-LDPC codes are proposed to improve channel decoding of sequences that contain context based redundancy. The new methods combine techniques from universal compression, such as the burrows-wheeler transform (BWT), and segmentation of piecewise stationary memoryless sources (PSMS's) with recently proposed methods of discrete...
