Infrared radiometers and radiation thermometers operating around 10 μm wavelength are widely used for various industrial measurements and remote sensing, including thermal imaging. However, estimation of their calibration uncertainty is problematic, because the emissivity of variable-temperature blackbody (VTBB) furnace used for calibration is not known accurately enough [1]. Therefore, we have jointly...
A new compact fixed-point blackbody furnaces covering the temperature range from the In point to the Cu point have been developed by chino conjointly with NMIJ. The new furnace is improved temperature uniformity, can eject and replace fixed-point unit and fixed-point cell design easily. The design and performances of the new blackbody furnace are described in this paper.
