A refractometric sensor based on fiber Bragg grating(FBG) in micro/nano-fiber(MNF) is proposed. The performance of sensing the variation of ambient refractive index is simulated, and the simulation results demonstrate that the FBG in MNF can achieve a sensitivity as high as 993nm/RIU.
We demonstrate a fiber Bragg grating (FBG)-based multi-point temperature warning sensor using a multi-channel matched FBG. The sensor provides simple, flexible, and cost-effective solutions to locate abnormal temperature increase with different thresholds at different locations.
