This work reports on the characterization of TlBr detectors for use in nuclear medicine. Several different detectors have been used to assess the potential performance of the material. A 12 mm thick detector with a Frisch collar has been used to achieve an energy resolution of 3.5% at 511 keV and 2.3% at 662 keV. A 0.4 mm thick detector biased at 200 V has been operated in coincidence with an LSO...
Nanorod-like, cubic, and spherical FePt nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized by adjusting the reaction temperature at 220 °C, 250 °C, and 298 °C, respectively. It has been found that the shapes of FePt NPs can be controlled by changing the preparing temperature while fixing the molar ratio of metal precursors, surfactants, and other parameters. Investigation shows that both the seed crystal structure...
Result of diode-pumped cw laser action of Yb:GYSO are demonstrated for the first time. The laser wavelength could be tuned from 1030 to 1089 nm, and a slope efficiency of 57% was achieved.
A diode pumped cw laser operation based on 5-at.% doped Yb:GSO crystal was reported. The optical conversion efficiency of 64.5% at 1089 nm was achieved and the tuning range extends to ~65 nm.
