This paper investigates the channel parameter estimation algorithm by using the Space-Alternating Generalized Expectation-Maximization (SAGE). Two strategies, i.e., parallel interference cancelation (PIC) and serial interference cancelation (SIC), are implemented and validated in the simulated SV channel model. Based on the massive MIMO channel measurement results in an indoor hall scenario in the...
As one of the most important candidate technologies for the fifth-generation wireless communication systems, massive MIMO technology has been widely studied recently because of the significant improvements it can provide in terms of spectrum efficiency and power efficiency. As the foundation of wireless communication, research on propagation characteristics for massive MIMO channels is of primary...
The channel nonstationarity caused by the train mobility is measured for the composite high-speed railway (HSR) scenario. The time-varying quasi-stationarity region analysis is based on spectral divergence (SD) metric carried on different frequencies. An obvious transition region is found in composite HSR. Moreover, based on the comparison of different frequencies, we found the apparent discrepancy...
This paper presents the channel measurements for Massive MIMO communications in indoor scenario at 6 GHz. The channel parameters are jointly estimated using sliding-window SAGE algorithm over the antenna array. The estimated results in delay and angular domains are presented. Considering the large size of antenna array at the transmitter side, the non-stationary phenomenon in the space domain is observed.
This paper presents wideband millimeter-wave channel characterization based on measurements at 26GHz with 1GHz bandwidth carried out in an open office at KeySight Beijing, China, which is a representative of an indoor hotspot scenario. In the time domain measurements, an omni-directional biconical horn is used as the transmitter, while at the receiver a 26dBi horn is applied and rotated with 5o angular...
Massive MIMO has been chosen as one of the candidate technologies of the fifth-generation mobile communication system (5G), and channel modeling of massive MIMO is of great importance. The most direct and effective approach to investigate the propagation characteristics of massive MIMO channels is channel measurements. However, there are only few measurements of massive MIMO channels, and there still...
