In order to investigate the effect of dynamical plasma sheath on communication signals, this paper proposes band finite-state Markov channel model to represent the dynamic plasma effect on signals at Ka band. First, the amplitude attenuation characteristics induced by dynamic plasma are calculated by Transmission Line Analogy method. Then the Ka band finite-state Markov channel model of dynamic plasma...
To overcome some drawbacks of the plasma stealth technology in real-life application, a practical multilayer stealth structure composed of enclosed plasma slab and radar absorbing material (RAM) is presented in this paper. Based on a technique referred to as the transmission line analogy method, reflection coefficients of the perpendicularly polarized wave, the parallel polarized wave, and the circularly...
Media-based Modulation(MBM) offers several advantages vs. traditional methods. MBM can be realized by changing RF properties of the propagation environment close to the transmitter. In this paper, An Innovative Approach based on time-varying plasma to achieve MBM is introduced. And the experiment of modulation by time-varying plasma is carried out.
For the plasma sheath formed around the hypersonic vehicle flying in atmosphere, the effects of plasma fluctuations on electromagnetic wave propagation is studied in this paper. Both the amplitude and phase of EM signal are modulated by the time-varying plasma. The propagation in the time-varying plasma experiment is designed and the modulation phenomenon is observed in the experiment.
