We use frequency-shifted interferometry to detect the concentrations of the same gas species at different locations and in different mixtures by accurately correcting the spectral shadowing effect. Different gas species are also detected.
We present a novel fiber-optic multipoint gas sensing scheme based on frequency- shifted interferometry. A minimum detectable concentration of 77 ppm was achieved for C2H2 in a two sensor system.
We report a novel frequency-shifted interferometer for interrogating multiplexed fiber grating sensors. This cw technique is capable of distinguishing gratings even when their reflection spectra overlap, suitable for very large sensor arrays.
