This paper describes a new solution for automated error free navigation through the STB menu for effective functional verification of the STB. The proposed testing solution is based on the existing BBT testing system for testing STB, by specially designed functional drivers. The proposed testing solution provides greater testing efficiency and robustness for the STB functional verification.
Design of algorithms that are able to estimate video quality as perceived by human observers is of interest for a number of applications. Depending on the video content, the artifacts introduced by the coding process can be more or less pronounced and diversely affect the quality of videos, as estimated by humans. While it is well understood that motion affects both human attention and coding quality,...
This paper proposes a novel system for video frame freezing detection, which can be easily attached to different multimedia end-user devices for video quality monitoring. The system is implemented on commercially available multi-core platform in real-time.
Multimedia quality assessment has become an important issue for both monitoring and control of multimedia networks and for the optimization of the new algorithms for audiovisual enhancement. In this paper we evaluate various objective video quality metrics in respect to their match to the subjective assessment represented as mean opinion score (MOS). The proposed framework is aimed for low bit-rate...
