In this paper, two kinds of planar monopole excited by UWB pulse are analysed using MOD method. In UWB antenna structure, the thin cylindrical probe is modelled as a thin strip which can be meshed easily by RWG basis functions. Then transient responses of surface current for UWB antennas are obtained.
