This paper proposes a high-reliable magnetic design method considering DC-biased magnetization for a Loosely Coupled Inductor (LCI) used in interleaved three-phase boost converters. The interleaved multi-phase boost converters with an LCI are well-known as one of the attractive circuit topologies that can achieve high-power-density of the converters. However, when designing and implementing an LCI...
LCL filters are widely used for grid-connected converters because its superiority over L and LC filters, however the resonance problem produced by these filters requires a more effort in the design process to damp it. Active damping techniques which use the sensed capacitor current are widely used in this regard to solve this problem; however this requires an increase in the number of sensors. Based...
This paper presents the novel driving technique of synchronous rectifier (SR) for the LLC converter. The unique characteristic of “Vo*D=constant” of LLC converter is utilized to predict optimal duty ratio D, where D is the conduction period of secondary diode. This technique does not need the sensing of SR current neither SR voltage. The technique is confirmed by experimentally.
