In this work the effect of temperature on giant magnetic-field-induced stain (MFIS) of a Ni52Mn24Ga24 single crystal, was quantified. A larger MFIS up to 1.2% was reported. A single crystal was grown in [001] direction of parent phase by a Czochralski method. A two-step annealed treatment (1073 K for 24 h and 773 K for 24 h) is adopted. A two-step thermally induced transition behavior in the Ni52Mn...
The thickness effect on the magnetic properties and giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect of the multilayer film are investigated. The proportion of the perpendicular magnetization component in ferromagnetic layers and the interfacial effect in multilayers are the reasons of the phenomenon.
This paper presents a micromagnetoelastic sensor array for simultaneously monitoring multiple biological agents. Magnetoelastic sensors, made of low-cost amorphous ferromagnetic ribbons, are analogous and complementary to piezoelectric acoustic wave sensors, which track parameters of interest via changes in resonance behavior. Magnetoelastic sensors are excited with magnetic ac fields, and, in turn,...
