Device-to-device communications aim to enhance service coverage, particularly at cell edges or in black spots within a neighborhood through relaying and forwarding. In this context, each device is free to move independently, and will therefore change its links to other devices frequently due to connectivity issues. During these movements, a device may be requested to forward traffic unrelated to its...
Crowd sensing pertains to the monitoring of large-scale phenomena that cannot be easily measured by a single individual. For example, intelligent transportation systems may require traffic congestion monitoring and air pollution level monitoring. These phenomena can be measured accurately only when many individuals provide speed and air quality information from their daily commutes, which are then...
This poster is aimed at solving the problem of maximizing the energy margin of a solar-powered sensor network at a fixed time horizon, to maximize the network performance during an event to monitor. Using a game theoretic approach, the optimal routing maximizing the energy margin of the network at a given time under solar power forcing can be computed in a decentralized way and solved exactly through...
We develop an evolutionary approach for analyzing network formation between selfish users and collective users (coalition) who mutually adapt their membership. A dynamic process of coalition formation is described by coupled evolutionary game dynamics. We apply them to packet forwarding problem in multi-hop heterogeneous networks and opportunistic spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks.
