Pseudorotaxane wurden aus einem Halogenbrücken(XB)‐Akzeptor (rot im Schema) und verschiedenen XB‐Akzeptoren als lineare Komponenten hergestellt, wobei eine Halogenbrücke die Synthese steuerte. Die Stärke der XB‐kontrollierten Anordnung wurde in der Synthese eines [2]‐Catenans ausgenutzt, die durch Ringschlussmetathese erfolgte.
