Smart antenna sizes are too large to be implemented in indoor environments. Spatial diversity is too complicated to perform a fast deployment. An alternative design for such an application is proposed, trying to obtain the benefits of spatial diversity but using only one compact antenna. The presented design is based on monopole antenna, and fits the requirements for DCS (1710-1880 MHz) and UMTS (1900-2170...
This communication describes a new method for designing dual reflector antenna patterns using a fast version of MFIE for computing the interaction between the two surfaces. This method provides an accurate and fast way to obtain a shaped beam optimizing the feed if no modification is done in the reflector surfaces.
