This paper aims to discuss, in its simplest form, the complexity of the interaction of electromagnetic waves with human tissue in terms of epidemiological research and biostatistics. It also reviews the application of statistical methods to biomedical sciences. Hypothetical epidemiologic tests and experiments are given for these purposes.
Metamaterials (MTM) have recently attracted much attention in electromagnetic engineering. Initial studies have focused on understanding their electromagnetic properties and responses, but applications have also begun to appear in the literature. This paper presents visualization of electromagnetic waves interacting with multi-layer MTM slabs in two-dimension as well as analytical and numerical S-parameter...
A two-dimensional FDTD-based subsurface imaging virtual tool is introduced. The virtual tool is used in the visualization of ultra-wide band (UWB) EM waves - subsurface object interactions. Subsurface images are then reconstructed using the synthetically generated data. Various narrow and UWB antenna array configurations and signal waveforms will be reviewed. The resolution and sidelobe reduction...
