We investigate the degrees of freedom (DoF) of coexisting 2 × 2 X channel and 2 × 2 interference channel with single antenna at each node. Asymptotic interference alignment approach is used to obtain the lower bound on the DoF: (n+1)5+3n5/(n+1)5+n5 based on symbol extension model. This bound will be tight when n tends to infinity, i.e., the limit 2 of lower bound on DoF will meet the upper bound.
In this paper, in order to reduce error propagation for cooperative systems, we propose and analyze two new threshold-based hybrid relay selection schemes for the three-node cooperative relaying system, named as hybrid amplify-decode-forward relaying (HADF) and direct-amplify-forward relaying (HDAF). When the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is higher than the specific threshold, which is designed in HDAF,...
Consider K-hop cascaded directed relay networks with time-division duplex (TDD), where the source, the relays, and the destination form a directed chain, and each node only receives the transmissions from its upstream node in the chain. We quantitatively investigate the effect of TDD constraint, which obviously prohibits the use of some network states and reduces the whole transmission rate. Firstly...
A generalized mathematical procedure is developed for investigation wideband transient pulse responses of monopole antennas illuminated by an external electromagnetic pulse. The numerical algorithm is based on the time-domain integral equation solved with the method of moments. The Laguerre polynomials are implanted as the entire domain temporal basis function to expand the unknown current in the...
Time-domain integral equation solvers are highly suited for analyzing the performance of coupled circuit-electromagnetic (EM) systems when broadband information is required or nonlinearities in the system have to be modeled accurately. In this paper, we present a novel coupling scheme for hybridizing TDIE with modified nodal analysis (MNA) used in circuit simulation of linear and nonlinear circuits...
In conical scan LFMCW radar, the precision of angle measurement is limited when traditional processing method is used. And in order to use this conical scan LFMCW signal in closed-loop tracking radar, one must improve the angle precision. According to analyzing the causes of angle measurement error, a method of improving the angle measurement precision is presented. Simulation results are given to...
This paper presents an improved sub-cell model for modeling thin material in metallic enclosures using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The enhanced thin material sub-cell algorithm proposed can model thin magnetic material sheets including their losses. Our FDTD results are compared with the shielding effectiveness obtained by transmission line method, with good agreements achieved...
Shielding effectiveness of metallic enclosures with thin slots, illuminated by an obliquely incident EMP, is studied using hybrid FDTD method combined with thin-slots formulas (TSF). The developed code is verified by comparing our numerical result with the measurement, and an excellent agreement is achieved. Parametric studies are performed to show geometrical and physical parameters of the metallic...
